HOT MILK CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE COULIS
Preheat oven to 350°F
Grease an 8 X 8 pan
For the cake:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 tbsp each vanilla, lemon and almond extract
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 heaping tbsp butter
Mix the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs and flavoring and beat with an electric mixer (or whisk)
Bring the milk and butter to a boil. Add to mixture and beat until well blended.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 - 30 minutes
For the chocolate coulis:
½ cup cocoa
1½ cups white sugar
½ tsp salt
1 cup water
2 tsp vanilla
Mix cocoa powder, sugar, salt and water in a deep pot (it rises when it boils) and bring to a boil for 3 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add the vanilla.
Serve over cake

that sounds delicious and easy to make..no mixer yay! I will definitely be trying it out and will let you know how it turns out
